Practice
Carla practices in several areas of general civil law. She helps individual clients in areas such as family, probate, estate planning, guardianship, real estate, and consumer issues. Additionally, she assists small businesses in a variety of legal matters, including formation, dissolution, collections, contractual transactions, and litigation. Carla’s approach to advocacy starts with ensuring client communication from the beginning. She works with her clients to assess their legal needs and goals, protects their interests, and gives quality representation. Although she helps her clients resolve disputes outside the courtroom, not all cases can be settled. As such, Carla defends her clients in the courtroom and has proven successful litigation experience. For instance, she recently played a critical role in an extended jury trial, which resulted in an over-one million dollar award for the client. She has also had experience conducting and assisting in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
The Fort Bend/Katy Business Journal recognized Carla’s legal career – naming her a “Rising Star” of 2014. She handles cases in Fort Bend, Harris, Brazoria, Matagorda, Waller, Wharton, Colorado, Austin, Galveston, and surrounding counties. She is also a qualified mediator, helping disputing parties reach amicable resolutions.
